Having worked in creative, business, and managerial roles for some of the industry’s leading companies, Hwy1’s co-founders recognized the simple yet profound need to:

• Help developers bring innovative titles first to publishers, then to consumers
• Bring publishers saleable, cutting-edge content with an eye towards managing risk

On one end of the spectrum, we work very closely with development partners to evaluate their specific technology strengths, creative interests, and corporate goals. Hwy 1’s experience in both internal and external development, allows for a unique perspective to share with our development partners and an appreciation for the publishing realities of the business.

On the other end, we work with all major publishers to identify potential needs in their catalog and opportunities in the marketplace. Among the biggest challenges faced by publishers is in developing quality, innovative content. Consequently, publishers are often forced to invest in the production of many sub-standard creative ideas in hopes of landing one or two big “hit” games.

To mitigate the development risk to publishers, Hwy 1 develops a business plan for each title with marketing, risk assessment, promotions, and business development analysis in the forefront. We also work closely with publishing marketing groups while leveraging our relationships with hardware manufacturers, industry publications, and other media in an effort create buzz for Hwy1-supported titles
